French Teacher Grades 6–9 – 100% Position at IES Sigtuna

Internationella Engelska Skolan Sigtuna is seeking a qualified and dedicated French teacher for grades 6–9 for a 100% position starting in August 2026.

As a language and subject teacher at IES, you will join an international, value-driven team where you are expected to plan, implement, and evaluate teaching according to the Lgr22 curriculum. You will teach French to students in grades 6–9 and serve as a mentor to a group of students.

We are looking for someone who wants to work in a safe and structured school environment where study peace, respect, and high expectations characterize the teaching. You are a clear leader in the classroom, create engagement, and adapt your teaching to the different needs and conditions of the students.

The role includes:

• Planning, implementing, and evaluating French language instruction
• Having mentorship responsibility for a group of students
• Collaborating with colleagues and the student health team to support all students' development
• Providing clear, regular feedback to students and parents
• Actively contributing to the school's values and a good working climate

We are looking for someone who is:

• A certified teacher in French for primary school (grades 6–9)
• Positive, flexible, and engaged
• Confident in your role as a leader in the classroom
• Experienced in teamwork and contributing to collegial development
• Interested in working in an international school environment
